Earopund was a two-part music festival presented across the final two weekends of January 2016 and was organised by my friend Astrid Zeman (Dr. Zeman these days, mind you). The festival was about promoting female and LGBTQIA+ presence in the music scene (read more in Astrid's interview with Music Australia, from which the following quote is sourced):

It's a common occurrence to go to a festival or gig and be presented with 80% male and 20% (or less) female acts, even though there appears to be no shortage of exceptional female talent across all genres. This festival aims to reverse the common trend, programming 80% female and 20% male acts, placing women at the front of the stage.
